When you upload sims from sims 3 exchange, how do you get that cool background to pop up for the face shot.?

under sims3 exchange, when you click to download a sim... I see some sims other people created and upload with cool backgrounds for what suppose to be the face shot. I want to know how do they do that?Explain, I would like to know.
