What UK visa do I need?

It's described as a working holiday on it's website. The USA is not part of the Youth Mobility scheme so it looks as though you need a work visa, it doesn't matter whether work is paid or unpaid, you'll need a work visa. Under current rules you wouldn't be able to get a visa for babysitting/au pair work. Sorry.
