Why is my email account sending out spam on it's own to people on my address book?

I noticed a draft message in the draft box of my email account. This is not composed by me but by some rogue program/virus/trojan possibly. I've already ran anti-virus scan and spyware scan yet cannot find anything wrong. What else can I do other than reformatting my entire disk.
